Our Story

ABODES traces its roots to 2007, when we began offering furnished accommodations in Rochester with a single apartment and a lakeside cottage. What started as Furnished Abodes gradually grew into ABODES, expanding from a small collection of properties into a professionally managed furnished-housing company serving business travelers, relocating professionals, medical guests, families, and others needing a comfortable temporary home.

Nearly 20 years later, we’re still focused on the same idea: distinctive, well-cared-for places that feel like home rather than a hotel.

In 2020, we introduced the same concept to Guanajuato, Mexico—one of the world’s most vibrant and historic UNESCO cities—where we continue to serve remote workers, expatriates, and long-term travelers seeking a more convenient way to stay.
